Brief Project Description :
The internship is organised by the Community Health Department of the Malawi College of Medicine (COM) in Mangcochi, Malawi. The project’s goal is to allow students to participate in Public Health by means of clinical work as well as research. There is also an opportunity to educate locals about health
Besides Public Health, Maternal and Child health is another focus area of the project. As a medical student, you will be participating in both of these areas.

There is no maximum, although an internship of 4 weeks is advised to students with limited clinical experience.

Detailed Project Description, Mission and Goals of the Project * What do participants exactly have to do, what are the working hours, what is the project aiming for, etc.
The students will mostly be participating in clinical activities and will be guided by the medical staff of the hospital. Your exact work description depends on your clinical skills and experience. There is also the possibility of doing a literature study in the library. There is a local doctor who will guide you during your stay in Malawi. Together with the doctor you will discuss what your aims are during the internship. There are a lot of possibilities within this internship, but your own initiative is a must.

Leisure Activities After Work, on the weekends
The students stay on the hospital campus in a hostel. The rooms all have two beds, two desks and two closets. Depending on availability, the students can choose to share a room with another student or have a room for themselves.
